Why will my KVM not work with my monitor?
I recently bought a Belkin Switch 2 KVM with USB and Audio. However, it will not work with my Compaq CR5011UK, with Windows 7. Every time I connect my monitor, an HP 2009v, it says that the signal is out of range, when clearly it is set to the appropriate resolution and screen rate when directly plugged in. When I connect my net book to the other end of the KVM and switch the inputs, it works perfectly, the monitor immediately recognises the net book. Any help with getting my Compaq to work would be appreciated.
hi, i am not using a dvi to vga adaptor, just vga direct from monitor to kvm
Also, i have changed the resolutions to all that my Compaq will allow and they all give the same result.
The KVM doesn’t support the current resolution on your Compaq. Your netbook uses a much lower resolution.
Reduce the screen resolution on your Compaq until it works.
